PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector which can alleviate burden falling on a substrate from a terminal at plugging in and pulling out of a mating connector. SOLUTION: When a mating terminal 31 is inserted, an insertion force is added from one end to the other of each terminal 20, but the latter is press fit into a second terminal holder 12b from one end of a connector main body 10, so that each terminal 20 is firmly held by the connector main body 10 against the insertion force of the mating terminal 31 occurring in the same direction as the press fitting direction. On the other hand, when the mating terminal is pulled out, a tensile force occurs at each terminal 20 of the connector main body 10, but, since one end of each terminal 20 is press fit into a first terminal holder 11b from the other end of the connector main body 10, each terminal 20 is firmly held by the connector main body 10 even against the tensile force of the mating terminal 31 occurring in the same direction as the press fitting direction. |
