<p>Mouldings having heat distortion temp. greater than 200 deg.C are prepd. by mixing an aldehyde phenolic resin contg. 0.1-0.5% free phenol with a hardener, fillers and opt. other ingredients, moulding the mixt. and hardening. The resin is suitable as moulding binder for the prodn. of automobile components, e.g. brake shoe lining, clutch plate, oil tanks and other articles requiring high heat distortion temp. The resin can also be used for the prodn. of abrasive materials.</p> |
