PURPOSE:An antirheumatic contains 24,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:The objective antirheumatic is obtained by using 24R,25-(OH)2- D3,24S,25-(OH)2-D3 or their mixture, preferably 24R,25-(OH)2-D3. It is given orally, parenterally or rectally, however, oral administration is preferable. The active ingredient is prepared into tablets, dust, granule, suppository, capsules, an alcohol solution, oil solution or an aqueous suspension. As an oil solvent, neutral trigryceride ester of mediate-chains, corn oil, cotton seed oil or peanuts is used. The dose is 0.1-100,000mug/man/day, preferably 0.5-10,000Xg/man/day.
