摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the startability and drivability of an engine, by correcting the air-fuel ratio of the engine during start of the engine in accordance with the quality of used fuel so that the air-fuel ratio during start is corrected appropriately irrespective of variations in the quality of fuel. CONSTITUTION:A control unit 16 receives detection signals from an airflowmeter 7, a throttle valve opening degree sensor 9, an engine internal pressure sensor 10, a crank angle sensor 12, a water temperature sensor 13, an oxygen sensor 14 and the like, and computes and controls the opening time of an injector 4 in accordance with the operating condition of the engine. with the use of such a trend that the maximum value of the engine cylinder inside pressure is gradually decreased as the gravity of fuel becomes heavy, and the crank angle is shifted to the retard side at that time. the control unit 16 compares the maximum value of the engine cylinder inside pressure and the crank angle at that time with reference values during use of standard fuel when the temperature of cooling water, the rotational speed of the engine and the amount of intake-air are in predetermined ranges, and therefore judges the quality of fuel, thereby the air-fuel ratio during start of the engine is corrected in accordance with the result of the judgment.
