PURPOSE:To obt. a sharp color picture with a uniformly irregular surface by overlapping the surface of a color toner image with a sheet having the surface of a mat after the color toner image is formed, pressurizing, heating and cooling them, thereby isolating the sheet. CONSTITUTION:Plural colors of a picture on an original are projected on an electrophotographic sensitive body color by color through blue, green and red color separation filters, thereby forming an electrostatic image. It is developed with toner in yellow, magenta and cyan complementary to the color separation filters, and toner images in respective colors are overlapped to form a multicolor toner image. The surface of the color toner image obtd. in such a way is superposed with the sheet with the surface of the mat, pressurized, heated and cooled, after which the sheet is isolated. Thus the irregularity of the toner surface of the color image is eliminated to obt. the uniformly irregular surface, and a high quality, sharp image can be obt. accordingly.
