PURPOSE:To facilitate the change-over between a manual control mode and a remote control mode for a propelling unit by coupling the propelling unit with a remote control device through the intermediary of a control wire, and by disposing a clutch device in the intermediate section of the control wire. CONSTITUTION:A propelling unit 3 is provided with control levers such as, a throttle lever 4 for controlling the speed of an internal combustion engine and a shift lever 5 for controlling the shift between forward movement and backward movement. Further there is provided a remote control device 6 for performing a remote control of the propelling unit 3 in the bow section of a hull 2. The remote control device 6 is provided thereto with a remote control lever 7 for controlling the speed of the propelling unit 3. The propelling unit 3 is connected to the remote control device 6 through the intermediary of a control wire 8. A clutch device 11 is provided in the intermediate sections of throttle and shift wires 9, 10, and is adapted to carry out the change-over between the manual control mode and the remote control mode.
