<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a less expensive serum-free culture medium and to provide a method for differentiating mammalian cells such as FS-L3 cell by using the serum-free culture medium and preparing a cell line capable of growing in the serum-free culturing medium. CONSTITUTION: The present invention provides the following items: an established cell (FS-L3 cell) (FERM P-14806) derived from an epidemic cell of a pig uridiferous tubule free from the aberration of a pathogen and forming domes on the cell surface; a serum-free culture medium for proliferating FS-L3 cell obtained by dissolving 9.4g of Eagle MEM, 2.95g of Tryptose Phosphate Broth and 5.00-10.00g of Bacto-Peptone in 1 liter of purified water; and a method for producing a cell line capable of growing in the serum-free culture medium, in which a mammalian cell can be differentiated, by using the serum-free culture medium. This enables the preparation of a clean cell line free from the aberration of a known pathogen, and accordingly enables the improvement of the techniques needless, to say for a virus test but also for an antibody test, the securing of safety in the production of a biological preparation such as vaccine, and the cost reduction based on a large scale production, etc.</p> |
