PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new nucleic acid useful for producing a protein effective for treating wound, mental aberration of AIDS and stomach cancer, participating in TGF-β signal transmission, comprising a polynucleotide, having a specific amino acid sequence and coding a human MAD protein. SOLUTION: This new isolated polynucleotide comprises a polynucleotide selected from the group consisting of a polynucleotide coding a polypeptide of the formula, a polynucleotide having at least 70% of the identification of the polynucleotide coding a polypeptide containing an amino acid of the formula, a polynucleotide coding the same amino acid of the formula by duplication of a gene code, a polynucleotide complementary with the polynucleotides, a polynucleotide containing at least 15 adjoining bases of the polynucleotides, etc., participates in TGF-β signal transmission and is useful for producing a polypeptide for treating wound, trauma, mental aberration of AIDS, renal and hepatic disorders, ulcer, corneal abscission and stomach cancer. |
