PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the production of water between cleanings by decreasing the frequency of cleanings without scaling up a hollow-fiber membrane filter tower. SOLUTION: This water treating device is operated as follows. Namely, raw water is intermittently passed through a hollow-fiber membrane filter tower 1, the suspended matter in the raw water is removed by a hollow-fiber membrane filter module 15 to obtain filtered water, the filtered water is passed through an ion-exchange tower 2 to remove the impurity ions in the filtered water by an ion-exchange resin, and pure water is obtained. In this case, while the treatment of raw water is stopped, the effluent in the tower 2 is circulated between the filter tower 1 and ion-exchange tower 2. |
