PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the emission luminous flux of projected light in order to suppress the uncomfortableness which occurs when the projected light emitted from a projector is made incident directly on the human visual field. SOLUTION: This projector has an electro-optic device which emits the light modulated in accordance with the given image signals, an image processing section which supplies the image signals to the electro-optic device and a luminous flux controller which controls the emission luminous flux of the projected light emitted and projected from the electro-optic device. The luminous flux controller has a detecting section which detects the person entering the route of the projected light and a suppression control section which suppresses the emission luminous flux of the projected light when the advance of the person is detected by the detecting section. |
