<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix substrate, to be used for a display device having a plurality of display panels sharing a bus line, capable of preventing display failures such as block-like unevenness of luminance when displaying each display panel, and to provide a display device using the active matrix substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The display device 1 is provided with a main panel 2 and a sub panel 3 including TFT substrates 4 and 6 mutually sharing a source bus line 9. The main panel 2 is provided, on the source bus line 9, with a SW-TFT15 serving as a switch structure for turning on/off the conduction. Since the SW-TFT15 is turned off when the main panel 2 is displayed, the capacitance of each source bus line 9 can be made nearly uniform and block-like unevenness of luminance caused by the difference in the delay of a source signal can be prevented. Also, since the capacitance of the sub panel 3 is not loaded at the time of displaying the main panel 2, current consumption can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
