PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring a contact area between a side weather strip of a vehicle door and a chassis is provided to precisely measure the contact area between the side weather strip and the chassis in real time without an error. CONSTITUTION: A contact area measurement apparatus includes first and second resistance thin films(10,20), a pair of electric wires(30,31), and a resistance tester(40). The first resistance thin film(10) is attached to a side weather strip of a door, and the second resistance thin film(20) is attached to a panel of a chassis making contact with the first resistance thin film(10). First ends of the electric wires(30,31) are connected to the first and second resistance thin films(10,20) and second ends of the electric wires(30,31) are connected to the resistance tester(40), thereby forming an electric closed loop circuit.
