<p>A hopper (1) has two slots, (3) in its base, extending to a side wall (5) to form two openings (13). Below the hopper are two conveyor belts (17) running over pulley (18) which is keyed to a drive shaft (19), and an idler pulley (20). The side wall (5) bears a support (30) comprising two slots (31) in which are located the micrometer screws. Each screw has a coarse threaded portion on which runs a nut forming a pointer (34) to the graduated scale (35). The material to be distributed falls upon the conveyors and is carried through opening (13), the quantity being determined by the space between the free end of the micrometer screw (32) and the conveyor. A transparent cover (40) enclosing housing (26) allows the flow of material to be monitored.</p> |
