The garbage disposal press is static when in operation but can be moved or transported from place to place for use in compaction, partic of household garbage. A compression piston is driven by a motor and mounted in a press body having a compression and filling chamber of which the filling chamber has a lockable door or filling port. There is a wetting chamber and a water chamber of elastic and water proof material which is filled with water from the garbage, and is situated in the press housing in front of the compression piston (8, 9) and attached to the press chamber. Water from the garbage flows into an end chamber by channels in the hinged flap wall of the press chamber.
