For use in conjunction with any door or flap which closes against a wall or other solid surface, the elastic sealing is esp. suitable for the closure between a motor vehicle door and the bodywork, is formed of a soft tubular shaped-section with a pressure surface and a number of bending points, the whole being compressed together when the door is closed. At least one of the bending points is directed towards the inner hollow space of the tube, and at this point the tube walling is pref. thinner. There may be venting holes outside the pressure surface. The strip may be held in a frame by a block section, with the tubular shaped-section fitting against it. This is suitable where the space between door and wall is restricted. |
