摘要 <p>Photographic registration materials consist of a carrier with >=2 Ag halide emulsion layers which are sensitive to different parts of the visible spectrum. At least one of the layers contains a Ag halide emulsion (Type I emulsion) which releases a development inhibitor on development of the material. In addition, >=1 of the layers contain a silver halide emulsion (Type II emulsion) which can be inhibited by the released inhibitor. The emulsion grains of the Type II emulsion are more soluble than those of the Type I emulsion, while the Type II emulsion is not matured to full sensitivity, so that after application to a carrier and 6 mins. development at 30 degrees C is an aq. developer contg. (per litre) 2g EDTA, 0.3g 1-phenyl-3-pyrazolidinone, 50g Na2SO3, 6g hydroquinone, 35g Na2CO3, 2.5g K thiocyanate, 2g KBr and 0.015g KI, the fog level is at most 25%. The fog level is defined as the ratio of the amt. of silver present on the carrier after developing and fixing (calculated as AgNO3), to the amount of silver present before development (as AgNO3) multiplied by 100. The prods. are esp. useful as colour reversal materials with improved interimage effect, which give improved colour rendition e.g. of skin tones.</p>
