This invention is a ventilation device comprising a ventilation duct section (10) that runs through an outer wall (20), a control (14) for regulating the amount of ventilation air and a distribution pipe (12), which is connected to an outlet (36) on the side of the ventilation duct section. The ventilation device is preferably situated under a radiator (58) so that the distribution pipe (12) is immediately under the radiator next to an opening (56) between the radiator and the wall (20). The outlet orifices (16) of the distribution pipe are directed in such a way that the ventilation air (arrow 22) streams upward in the opening (56). Through the radiator's heating of the surrounding air, an upward directed convection airflow forms in this opening. Due to the ejector effect, this airflow takes the incoming ventilation air up with it. In the opening (56), the incoming ventilation air is heated by the radiator and the wall surface (20) that is situated behind and heated by the radiator. In this way, the incoming fresh air is heated and drafts are prevented. At the same time, heat from the section of the wall warmed by the radiator is recycled.<IMAGE> |
