PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support device that can suppress a variation in an axial direction of a pressing force pressing a roll part against a rotating body compared with a configuration in which urging members are provided respectively at portions on both ends of a shank, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A bearing 72 on one side is separated from an image holding body 36 so that a roll part 58B is entirely in contact with the image holding body 36; a bearing 72 on the other side approaches the image holding body 36; a second link 88 inclines on one side with respective to a depth direction of a device. When a charging roll 58 is driven by the rotating image holding body 36, the bearing 72 on one side moves to approach the image holding body 36; the bearing 72 on the other side moves to separate from the image holding body 36; the second link 88 inclines to the other side with respect to the depth direction of the device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
