<p>A tuned port rigid baffle panel (1) which mounts to a drum opposite the beater drumhead membrane (23). The baffle panel (1) has a port (3) having an area specifically selected to tune the drum to a selected frequency. The tuned port (3) controls the radiation of sound waves (25) from the drum so that they emerge from the drum in phase with and additively with the sound waves (24) from the front of beater membrane (23) to control resonance and extend the low frequency response of the drum. Clips (10) mount the baffle panel (1) to the drum using the standard drum hardware.</p> |
