PURPOSE: To provide a high mechanical strength at the cathode end of a capacitor by inserting an adhesive tape between a capacitor body and the paddle of a lead frame, placing an uncured epoxy resin on the upper surface of the tape and mounting the capacitor body on the epoxy layer. CONSTITUTION: A structure for fixing a cathode 22 to the cathode part 34 of a lead frame 30 includes a tape 40 being applied to the paddle 36 and the arm 38 at the cathode part 34 through an adhesive tape. An uncured epoxy layer 42 is applied to the surface of the tape 40 before a pellet is fixed. A rail 38 included in the lead frame 30 cures the resin 42 during and after a capacitor 20 is fixed onto the lead frame and couples an anode part 32 with the cathode part 34 during a protective package 60 is molded. Consequently, rigid insulating coupling is attained between a cathode lead and a capacitor body. |
