The beam is fastened to a road finishing machine via a holder, pivoted about an axis, at right angles to the direction of travel, to achieve a setting angle (alpha). It has a device with frame, which contains an oscillating driven tamper beam (9), and a levelling plate (4). The frame is divided in direction of travel. The two frame sections (3, 6) are connected via a pivoted axis (5), which extend across the direction of travel. The frame section carrying the tamper beam, can be pivoted backwards through a certain angle. ADVANTAGE -Allows better compression of road finishing material.
