PURPOSE:To attain excellent holding in both the image pickup state and the non image pickup state by providing a cover or a case covering a lens barrel and a support frame in the contained state and covering the part to which the lens barrel and the support frame are contained in the image pickup state to the camera. CONSTITUTION:A cover 21 is fitted to an electronic still camera. The cover 21 is fitted freely turnably around a mount part 22. When the camera is not in use, a support frame 4 is folded and contained in the camera main body and covered by the cover 21 to protect a lens and the camera is kept to the contained state. When the camera is in use, the cover 21 is open to turn the support frame 4 and it is expanded to a prescribed position and the cover 21 is restored to the original position. Thus, the holding shape of the main body is not changed in the image pickup state and a photographer makes stable image pickup. |
