PURPOSE:To dissolve the complication of a graphic input operation in a graphic display system and to improve input efficiency. CONSTITUTION:A graphic system is provided with a cursor display means. A solid displayed by the instruction of a user, a reference surface calculation means 13 calculating the position of a reference surface in accordance with a reference surface forming rule selected by the instruction of the user from previously decided reference surface forming rules and a first point position calculation means 16 inputting the position on the reference surface, which is instructed by a cursor, as a three-dimensional instruction position by considering that the cursor moves on the reference surface are provided.
