<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting/dividing method for a covered overhead wire which can surely prevent the covered wire, etc., from falling, while a stripping work of the parts of the covered wire which are gripped by wire gripping devices is eliminated. SOLUTION: Covered parts 10 of two positions of a covered overhead wire 9 are gripped by a pair of wire-gripping devices 12a and 12b. Both the wire- gripping devices 12a and 12b are connected to each other in a tightened state, by using an expander 13 provided between both the wire gripping devices 12a and 12b, while the covered wire 9 is in a loosened state and the covered wire 9 is cut at a position in the loosened part and the covered parts 10 and 10 of both the cut ends are stripped. Conductors 11a and 11b, exposed by the stripping, are gripped respectively by chucks 1a and 1b.</p> |
