PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine with excellent security from which new machine different in control contents and layouts from the game machine is easily manufactured. SOLUTION: A display control unit 41 controls the display contents of a special pattern display device based on the detection of command signals from a main control unit 21 and a card ROM 40 is attachably and detachably provided on the display control unit 41. Thus, the difference of the display contents of the special pattern display device is coped with by just mounting the card ROM different from the present one on the display control unit 41. Also, since the main control unit 21 and the display control unit 41 can be independently handled, the difference of mechanical layouts is easily coped with and the new machine kind of the different control contents and layouts is easily manufactured generally. Also, the display control unit 41 is constituted so as not to allow the inside to be confirmed excluding the card ROM 40. Thus, since the unauthorized acquisition of the driving information of the special pattern display device from a display controller 32 becomes difficult, the security is improved.
