METHOD OF ENTRAPPING DUST IN GRAINY FILTERS

FIELD: cleaning air from dust by filtration. SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in smooth passing air flow through filter medium; dust-laden air flow is passed through filter medium at rate of 0.3-0.4 m/s; used as filter medium is layer of grain material with fastened grains of fractions 0.6-1.0 mm in size and thickness equal to 30-40-multiple of size of grain fraction. Proposed method makes it possible to increase operation of filter layer by 2.5-3 times before regeneration. Proposed method increases efficiency by 5-10%. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency due to stabilization of settling of dust on leeward side. 3 dwg
