<p>The tray used to catch oil and petrol leaking from car being transported on accident recovery vehicles is rectangular, with sides (3) and a flat bottom (2) provided with a tap for emptying. The sides have flange on at lead two long sides, this preferably facing inwards and having a lip (6) angled downwards. The top is covered by a fine mesh sheet (4). Leaking or dripping oil can penetrate the holes in the mesh but, once in the tray does not have sufficient force to leak outwards by splashing against it due to vehicle movement. The flanged lips also break up splashes.</p> |
