<p>The pneumatic pivot drive with two cylinders and two pistons is connected by a toothed rod where this rod engages with a pinion which drives a shaft. Both cylinders each have an inlet or outlet for a hydraulic fluid to operate the pistons. Specifically, the cylinders (2a, 2b) are in the form of a single continuous cylinder (2). The shaft (8, 8') which carries the pinion (9) passes through the cylinder casing wall in the middle and the toothing between (12) rack and pinion (9) lies in the piston centre of gravity (10, 11). The axes of the pistons (10, 11) or those of the cylinder (2) lie in the plane of engagement of the teeth of rack (12) and pinion (9).
