In the case of a condensation heating device, which operates with an highly volatile fluid, for example kerosene, in a vacuum, the insulation of electrical apparatuses or of their parts, such as transformers, capacitors and the like, is dried and degassed in a known manner, the slightly volatile impregnation fluid, for example insulating oil, at the same time being flushed out of the insulation and being mixed with the highly volatile fluid. The device has a separating device (4) which is split into two stages (41, 42) and in which the oil is separated from the kerosene/oil mixture which is produced. A fluid partial flow of the kerosene/oil mixture is fed through a supply line (g) from the main evaporator (3) to the first stage (41) in which the intention is to achieve only a preconcentration of the oil by vaporising the highly volatile fluid, no vaporisation-energy losses occurring, since the vapour flow is fed to the autoclave (1). A predetermined quantity of the accumulating kerosene/oil mixture is fed from the first stage (41) through a supply line (h), which has a flow regulator (11), to the second stage (42), which operates at a lower pressure, the vaporisation energy of the second stage (42) in this case being lost for the actual drying process. <IMAGE>
