PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel and an optical instrument capable of achieving space saving upon securing stability of the attitudes of internal structural components and impact resistance and thereby achieving miniaturization.SOLUTION: A lens barrel 2 movably holds a lens in its optical axis direction, and includes: cylindrical cam frames 4, 6; and a cylindrical movable frame advancing and retreating along an optical axis in synchronization with the turning of cam frames 4, 6. The movable frame includes: a cylindrical first frame 8 having a peripheral wall surrounding an optical axis; and a second frame 7 fitted to the outside of the first frame 8. The first frame 8 is formed with a notch by notching the entire length direction on the peripheral wall so that the peripheral wall is formed in a C-shape in side view, and both sides of the notch are formed with a first engaging part 24. The second frame 7 is formed with a second engaging part 20 which engages with the first engaging part 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
