Insulated construction for stone wall - has facing for brick partition with insulation which acts as shuttering for facade stones

The stone wall for a house is constructed by erecting a partition (1) of bricks and applying an impermeable dressing (2) to the outer face. Insulating sheets (4) of rigid expanded plastics are then disposed alongside and spaced from the partition (1) by blocks (3) to create an air gap of 2-3cms. The insulating sheets form vertical shuttering for stones (5) to construct the exterior facade of the wall. The space between the sheets and the stones is filled by concrete (6).
