PURPOSE:To increase the number of units in charge of operation and improve the operating rate by constituting the captioned apparatus so that the vacant space for a magazine is detected by a cop-yarn detector installed on the periphery of a preparatory magazine and the cop-yarn is set with its top facing downward into an inverting cylinder, and fed into the a plurality of vacant spaces through inversion of the inverting cylinder. CONSTITUTION:When the first cop-yarn detector 35 detects the position free of cop- yarn in a preparatory magazine 30, a cop-yarn inverting device 5 is shifted to the position, and the cop-yarn 10 stored in a traveling truck not shown in the figure is thrown into an inverting cylinder 11 from an opening 21 with its bottom facing downward. Then, the thread edge 40 is caught by holding mechanisms 31-34. When the inverting cylinder 11 is inverted around a shaft 14, the cop-yarn 10 falls down into the cop-yarn receiving art of the magazine 30 by its dead weight. Then the inverting cylinder 11 returns to the original position, and the cop-yarn feeding cycle with the first cop-yarn detector 35 is completed. In the same way, cop-yarn feeding is performed by means of a plurality of detectors. Similar operation is repeated in the next winding section. Thus, the number of units in charge of operation is increased, and the operating rate and quality can be improved. |
