<p>PURPOSE:To improve regeneration effect by providing electrodes at the center and a plurality of spots at predetermined intervals, in the radial direction of an upper stream part of a particulate filter which captures combustible particles and so forth. CONSTITUTION:A particulate filter 7 which captures combustible particles and so forth mainly consisting of carbon in exhaust gas is arranged in the exhaust passage 6 of a diesel engine, and an injector 8 which injects and supplies catalytic solution so as to promote combustion of the combustible particles is provided on its upper stream side. In this case, electrodes 26 are arranged at the upper stream side part of side filter 7 or at the position with a slight interval on the upper stream side from this part, respectively at the center in its radial direction and a plurality of spots with predetermined intervals in the radial direction from this center. And the inmost electrode 26a and the outmost electrode 26b of these plural electrodes 26 are connected to a power supply circuit 27, and sparks are generated between these.</p> |
