Rubbish dump drainage system - uses slot trenches by roadways feeding pipes lying on impermeable layer

Dump drainage system seals off the dump below ground with a sealing layer, has a seepage water runoff at bottom point and an associated flushing and cleaning device for periodic cleaning. The drainage system should consist of a non-perforated base film (6) racing the rock etc, a network (7) to form the flushing space and bear on the film and perforated cover film (8) which is carried on the network to bear against the dump. Flushing air should be blown into the flushing space formed by the network (7). Pref. the network forms flushing channels individually fed with overpressurised flushing air. Drainange system starts pref from walkable supported roads, between which a slot trench is excavated and held open and carried forward below the dump and filled with sealing material from one of the roads to form the sealing layer. The drainage system components are introduced transversely from one road to the other, using inflatable sleeves between cover and base films. The sleeves are there 1nflated and their intervals filled with drainage material so that when the sleeves are finally withdrawn they leave the flushing channels which can in turn be cased from one of the roads. USE/ADVANTAGE - Flushing channels left below dump improve flushing system for thorough periodic clean-out.
