PURPOSE:To realize a rational, economical recording device in which an unavoidable fluctuation of such as an intermediate transcribing drum may exert no effect on the other components. CONSTITUTION:The recording device in which a toner image on a photosensitive drum 11 is primarily transcribed onto an intermediate transcribing drum 21 and the toner image on the photosensitive drum 21 is secondarily transcribed onto a recording medium 100, includes an intermediate transcribing drum displacement device 40 for displacing the intermediate transcribing drum 21 in a first status in which the toner image is pressed to the photosensitive drum 11, but is not pressed to the recording medium 100 during the primary transcription and in a second status in which the toner image is pressed to the recording medium 100, but is not pressed to the transcribing drum 21 during the second transcription.
