PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photosensitive resin compsn. not causing environmental problem such as a foul odor and toxicity and having satisfactory printing resistance and chemical resistance by incorporating a specified compound, as a resin binder. SOLUTION: This photosensitive resin compsn. contains one or more kinds of compds. represented by the formulas as a resin binder. In the formula, each of R1 and R2 is H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy or aryl, preferably H, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy or 6-10C aryl and (n) is 0-100. Each of the compds. is easily obtd, by allowing phenol to react withα,α'-dimethosy-p-xylene orα,α-dichloro-p- xylene. An o-naphthoquinonediazido compd. is preferably contained as a photosensitive material.
