PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow removal system for a roof low in a facility cost and a running cost and capable of easily applying to an existing house. SOLUTION: A jet nozzle 1 for cutting fallen snow by mechanical energy of hot water jetted is set on a column erected on a roof or sideward of a house. Hot water is collected on the lower layer part of a fallen snow layer, and snow cut by forming a water film is slid to be fallen from the edge of an eaves. A water repellent layer 5 is formed on the surface of a roof tile in the neighborhood of the edge of the eaves, and if hot water is jetted from the jet nozzle 1 toward the part, frozen snow can be fallen easily.
