PURPOSE: An attenuating device for the electromagnetic wave noise of a microwave oven is provided to prevent the malfunction of the microwave oven, to reduce pollution caused by electromagnet waves and to shorten an assembly process by attenuating electromagnetic waves from a magnetron. CONSTITUTION: A boost transformer boosts normal power fed from a first coil up to about 2100V at a second coil. A magnetron oscillates 2450 MHz of ultra high frequency by a permanent magnet when a filament is heated and high pressure direct voltage is applied to anode and cathode. The ultra high frequency is transmitted to a cooking chamber from an antenna through a wave guide. A first and a second filter unit(50) consisting of a bobbin shaped absorbing portion(51) and a winding portion(52), are contacted with the magnetron through filament wires(70). The winding portion is formed with the filament wire wound on the absorbing portion more than one time. Then, electromagnetic wave conducted to the filament wire from the magnetron is absorbed into the absorbing portion and converted to heat. The heat is easily discharged through a hollow portion. Therefore, a deterioration caused by high temperature is prevented and the filter portion is easily made.
