PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program selection apparatus and method that a user can easily select a program in multi-channel broadcasting. SOLUTION: The program selecting apparatus includes a plurality of keys, and storage sections each corresponding to each of a plurality of the keys and storing one program information or more, and the apparatus is configured such that program information of a program viewed at present by operating a prescribed key among a plurality of the keys is stored to the storage section of the desired key and selects a channel on the basis of the program information stored in the storage section corresponding to the key among a plurality of the keys through a prescribed operation.
