PURPOSE:To obtain a high modulation rate of an He-Ne laser light modulator by employing a pair of mirrors capable of oscillating for two wavelengths of 0.6328 and 3.39mum as the light resonator of a laser oscillator and applying a magnetic field capable of modulating its magnetic field intensity to a laser medium. CONSTITUTION:A pair of mirrors 4, 5 forming a light resonator are provided at both ends of a glass enclosure 2 for containing a glass fine tube 1. At this time the mirrors are formed of material having high reflectivity capable of oscillating for both wavelengths of 0.6328 and 3.39mum of a He-Ne laser light, and the reflectivity of the output side mirror 4 is set lower than that of the mirror 5 at the mirror 5 of all reflecting side. Then, anode and cathode pins 6, 7 are provided at one side of the enclosure 2, a plasma discharging power supply 8 is connected thereto, and a cold cathode 3 is formed at the other side. Further, a coil 10 is wound on the outer periphery of the enclosure 2, is connected through a lead wire 13 to a bias magnetic field power supply 11, and applied magnetic field intensity is varied to the laser medium on the basis of the outcoming signal 12. |
