PURPOSE:To make mounting of an optical fiber cable easy by forming a titled plug of a front cylindrical member having a front circular conical surface, and a rear cylindrical member which is made by rounding a metallic plate and having windows on the side surface. CONSTITUTION:A rear cylindrical member 3 is produced by rounding a metallic plate to a cylindrical shape and punching windows 8 on the circumference. The extending cylindrical part 9 of the member 3 encloses the rear half of a front cylindrical member 2 so as to enable coupling to the member 2, and extends forward from a collar part 5. The part 9 is inserted onto the member 2 and is reduced downs from the circumference, whereby both are coupled. A part of covering 11 is removed from the preceding end of an optical fiber 10. Prior to insertion of said end into a cable insertion hole 13, an adhesive agent 14 is beforehand coated on the preceding end of the optical fiber. Since the member 3 is made of the windowed metallic plate, the optical fiber is stuck to the plug earlier. |
