摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter in which a radiation source can be applied to a lesion part for a sufficient time to prohibit generation of reconstriction of an artery while maintaining its opening, and protect the radiation source from getting in contact with body fluid of a patient for enabling the radiation source to be reused. SOLUTION: A catheter 10 includes a zone 12 which can be expanded and composed to keep a radiation source at a center of a blood vessel for a sufficient time to provide a sufficient rayage required to the blood vessel. This catheter 10 includes a feed cavity, and a blind inner cavity at a farther end to receive a wire 28 including the radiation source. The blind inner cavity prevents the radiation source from being contaminated by liquid in the blood vessel. The radiation source is charged into the expanded zone 12 of the catheter 10 through the blind inner cavity. The expanded zone 12 includes plural balloon parting parts 14, 16, 18 at a farther end position of the catheter. The balloon parting parts 14, 16, 18 operate to keep the radiation source at the center of the blood vessel even in the case where the blood vessel is curved when expanded.
