PURPOSE:To surely write holding data in a disk by executing collective write operation from a cache to the disk asynchronously with the write operation of a host computer to the disk. CONSTITUTION:When a processor 103 in a disk controller 1020 is accessed from the host computer 100, it decides for what disk drive this access is. The processor 103 issues a lock request for the disk drive 1100, for instance. When the reply of the success of lock acquisition is inputted, it requests a command from a channel controller 101. When it receives the command from the channel controller 101, it recognizes the track number and the record number of an object to be accessed. The processor 103 retrieves a track table 3801 for the disk driver 1000, and decides whether a slot for it is arranged on the cache or not. |
