发明名称 Syphon system - uses contracted and expanded air to maintain water pressure in maintenance-free pump or desalination functions
摘要 The syphon system, to control the tension applied to the water in a solar pump operated by solar thermal energy and desalination plants, uses contracted and expanded air in a hollow zone at the water energy and exit points to deliver a given vol. of water while cooled at night or heated by day, according to each cycle. In the suction cycle, the wt. of the water column in the syphon bears on the part to be pumped out. In the pumping cycle, the displacement pressure works in the air column in the suction tube, which has its opening correspondingly deep below the water surface, such as at the deepest point in the syphon. The entry tube has to be at or above the water surface, of the water to be pumped, at the centre level of the hollow body, so that water from the inlet is caught at the lower section of the hollow body. This operation applies for a pure pumping function where, in desalination the water runs into an intermediate basin in the hollow zone for evaporation and then condensation at the inner wall, or for pure drinking water to be forced outwards by the syphon from below. ADVANTAGE - The system requires no maintenance over long periods, to give an automatic operation over a long time scale.
