Abstract A screw pile end piece (10) comprises a body portion (12) having a first frusto-conical inwardly tapered portion (18) and a second tapered portion (20) tapering towards a tip (22) and a helical screw (30) in the form of a fin, the end piece (10) defining a central axis passing from one end of the body portion to the tip, wherein the angle of taper of the second tapered portion relative to the central axis is greater than the angle of taper of the first tapered portion.
