PURPOSE:To prevent constitution from being complicated and handleability from being deteriorated by controlling the state of a toner removing means only used for a reversible thermosensitive film. CONSTITUTION:In a PP mode in which a plain paper is a recorded object, the device is controlled to be in a 1st state where the toner removing function of a TC cleaning means 24 is released; and in a TC mode in which the TC film is the recorded object, it is controlled to be in a 2nd state where the toner removing function of the means 24 is released until carrying force on the downstream side of the means 24 is given to the leading edge of the TC film and a 3rd state where the toner removing function of the means 211 functions.
