The adaptation method is used for a torque converter bridging clutch, with an electronic drive control providing a pressure variation according to a transition function over at least one initial time interval (T(1)), with verification of the reaction of the torque converter bridging clutch and initiation of a control/regulating phase via the electronic drive control when the reaction of the torque converter bridging clutch is detected.
