PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil tentering and centering adjustment mechanism for a coil unwinding device used particularly for a packaging machine for packaging a powder agent into a number of subdivision packs by using a continuous resin film for a mechanism used for the coil centering of an unwinding reel corresponding to the coil width when a soil-shaped film is unwound by the coil unwinding device. SOLUTION: A release mechanism is constituted of a hollow coil rotating shaft provided horizontally in front and driven rotatably from a device main body, a pair of reels of front and rear tapered pipe shape outer fitted slidably on the outer periphery of the rotating shaft and having tapered ends facing each other and engaged with the inner side end of a cylindrical pipe of a film coil, a reel width adjusting shaft inserted into the coil rotating shaft and having a right screw section and a left screw section formed dividedly on the front and rear of the outer periphery of the shaft, a pair of joining rings, front and rear, respectively screwed on the front and rear screw sections of the reel width adjusting shaft and a joining means running through a slot formed in the axial direction of the coil rotating shaft and joining respective reels with corresponding joining rings.
