Process comprises: (a) treating industrial triglycerides with acid indices up to 60, in the presence of lipases, with lower aliphatic alcohols, to give product of pre-esterification, having acid index 0.5-10; (b) if needed, separating water and unreacted alcohol from pre-esterification product; and (c) subjecting (dried) pre-esterification product to post-esterification, by adding more lower aliphatic alcohols, to give products with acid index 0.1-0.5.
