<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save a useless time for direction adjustment and to always rapidly acquire a receiving state by detecting direction deviation as fast as possible and updating direction data of all other channels in an early stage, when it becomes difficult to receive a certain channel during receiving channels by a direction-adjusted smart antenna, in a multi-directional antenna connected to a digital TV broadcast signal receiver. <P>SOLUTION: When a reception channel is selected (S52), an antenna is set in the same direction as that of the previously stored direction (S54). If the channel cannot be received (NO in S55), data of direction of last time are erased (S56), and the optimum receiving direction is searched by automatic scanning (S57). If the direction which can be received does not coincide with the receiving direction stored last time (NO in S60), and all the information of stored directions are erased (S61); all area scanning for all the directions of all channels is performed (S62) to decide the new receiving direction of each channel from the acquired optimum receiving direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
